SkyBlueCanvas v1.0 Official Release
Scott Lewis, an independent developer located in Richmond, Virginia has announced the official release of SkyBlueCanvas v1.0, a lightweight, zero-configuration content management system (CMS) for small business and personal websites. SkyBlueCanvas was designed specifically for those projects where more robust systems like Joomla are too much horsepower.
New Plugin API
SkyBlueCanvas just became more flexible with a new plugin API. In fact, there are two plugin APIs. A traditional Observer Pattern call method and an inline call method.
SkyBlueCanvas is Now Free
I have gotten a lot of mileage out of SkyBlue Canvas for personal and client web sites but I would like to see it get even better. I strongly support the open source ideology and have gained immeasurable benefit from the hard work of others generously donated for the benefit of all. For this reason I have decided to release SkyBlue Canvas as an open source project.
SkyBlueCanvas Just Got Easier
SkyBlue Canvas now has a new text editor. I have finished the integration of the Wymeditor browser-based text editor in the SkyBlue Canvas lightweight CMS system.
SkyBlueCanvas and Google Tools
SkyBlue Canvas now has built-in support for Google Sitemaps and Google Analytics. Adding the ability to submit a map of your site and monitor traffic on your site is now a breeze.
WYMeditor and SkyBlue
Bright-Crayon is finishing up testing on the integration of the WYMeditor html-less web page editor and SkyBlue Canvas. An online demo of the system will be available soon.
